Long story short:
We needed a suitable family car
Sold my mx-5 to make room
Girlfriend wanted a SUV, I didn’t
Didn’t find anything that fitted our needs/wants
Caved in and ended up buying a used X1 for her, as she would be driving around with baby anyway
Still have her Alfa that nobody wants to buy
BMW is better than I expected at least

To the car:
2011 BMW X1 18d Sdrive
2.0L 4 cylinder diesel
6-speed manual
Rear wheel drive
Cloth interior
Front and rear parking sensors
Navigation system
2 zone AC
Removable tow hitch from the factory that’s never been installed
129.000km
Interior and exterior are near perfect, even though a quick detail would be appropriate

Now to sell that Alfa...

Why does nobody want the Alfa? They’re quite pretty cars

What shocked me is that you’re not sitting that much higher than the Alfa, you don’t feel as disconnected to the road than I expected.

I don’t know about the Alfa. There are comparably many Alfas in the area, so I think people like them. I have it listed for about the same price than the other Giuliettas in the area, but I’ve had no single reaction for almost a year now (we have been trying to sell it for quite some time now).
My guess would be small diesel and automatic, but autos are what people want right now, so i don’t know.

It is based on the E91. If they had offered one with a manual here in the states, I’d have considered one in lieu of my 3.
